Flyte Racquet Club

Flyte Racquet Club represents my most extensive project to date—a ground-up hospitality and athletic development. I was brought into the project during the earliest stages of construction, serving as a primary designer for a multi-faceted facility that balances high-intensity athletic performance with luxury leisure.

Clubhouse Lounge

To make the expansive volume of the Flyte Racquet Club feel more intimate and usable, I designed a tiered ceiling treatment to soften the impact of the high, exposed industrial ceilings. By installing suspended faux-metal beams at varying heights, I was able to "lower" the ceiling in specific areas, creating a more comfortable, human-scaled environment without the need for walls.

This design allows the room to shift naturally from high-energy communal areas to cozy, private lounge spaces. By layering these overhead elements, I transformed a large, open footprint into a series of distinct zones that feel both curated and approachable

A large walnut table serves as the room's grounding focal point, shaping the entire design narrative. We carried this warm, organic wood tone throughout the space to maintain cohesion, using it as a unifying thread across fixtures and architectural details.

To elevate the energy of the room, I partnered with local Marin artist Scott Climi to integrate a series of colorful, abstract artworks. The pieces above were chosen for their strong sense of movement, ensuring the art matched the dynamic, high-energy environment of an athletic club while providing vibrant pops of color against the natural wood tones.

Bar + Game Room

To maintain design consistency throughout the club, we extended the walnut theme from our focal table into the bar area. We partnered with small-scale makers on Etsy to custom-design both the industrial-style bar and the accompanying high-top tables, ensuring the wood species and finish perfectly matched the main communal table.

Yoga Studio

To create a modern studio with a refined, Zen-inspired aesthetic, I balanced the raw, industrial architecture of the space with organic, Eastern-influenced textures. The woven basket pendant lights and curated artwork serve as focal points, introducing a sense of warmth and artisanal craftsmanship. To enhance both the atmosphere and operational flexibility, I installed floor-to-ceiling white curtains on custom-engineered tracks. This design choice adds a touch of movement and softness to the room, while empowering instructors and members to easily toggle between a private, meditative environment and an open, high-energy view of the adjacent pickleball courts.

Fitness Center

Jacuzzi Lounge

For the jacuzzi lounge, the objective was to craft a "zen oasis" resort atmosphere that felt both luxurious and restorative. To achieve this, I developed a sophisticated blue-green palette that ties directly back to the club’s navy brand identity, creating a seamless visual connection between the interior and exterior spaces.

Because this is a high-traffic outdoor environment, functional performance was a primary driver of my design selections. To ensure longevity and minimize maintenance for the staff, I selected high-performance woven seating that eliminates the need for seasonal cushion storage.  By eliminating the need to manage or store cushions during inclement weather, this selection significantly reduced operational workload while ensuring the lounge maintains its polished, inviting aesthetic for members year-round.
